Tamu is passionate about the intersection of education, entrepreneurship, and technology and founded her venture in 2012. Her online education pursuits have extended into entrepreneurship, and she has created an online entrepreneurship academy and virtual accelerator programs targeting Caribbean women. Dr. Browne continues to work with regional entrepreneurship accelerator programs as a coach, mentor, and judge in her quest to nurture the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Caribbean.
The Caribbean Climate Innovation Centre, the Caribbean Development Bank-funded Caribbean Tech Entrepreneurship Program (CTEP), and the PitchIT Caribbean, a World Bank-funded program, have utilized her expertise. Dr. Browne also served as the Coordinator of St. Kitts’ Small Enterprise and Entrepreneur Development Program – a multi-million dollar initiative funded by the Sugar Industry Diversification Fund for the final two cycles. Tamu earned her Doctorate in Business Administration with a specialization in Technology Entrepreneurship by researching the strategies used by minority women to obtain venture capital for their technology firms and is currently working on a mixed reality application at the intersection of entrepreneurship and education.
