Family businesses make up a significant number of businesses for most groups worldwide.

However, family business is less the norm for Caribbean entrepreneurs of colour and their peers in diasporic markets. Still there are Canadian mainstream entrepreneurs and others who do not have the support of family in or behind their businesses. Many are stressed knowing their will be no one to carry on manage, grow or maintain their investment.

As a family business better support the functions of nuturing, wealth creation, and transfer of wealth.  Caribbeans are late and must work hard on this leg of our development to grow strong family businesses.
