Associate Director, Partnership Development & Stewardship at Diversity Institute
Meagan Trush is the Associate Director, Partnership Development and Stewardship at Ryerson’s Diversity Institute and works to bring people together and advance understanding of the issues facing diverse populations. Meagan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Lakehead University and is a strong proponent of leveraging research to create evidence-based public policy. Prior to joining the DI, she accumulated significant political experience, serving in the offices of the Mayor of Toronto, several provincial Cabinet Ministers, and holding leadership roles in dozens of election campaigns. She spent six years consulting on a range of projects related to Indigenous mental health and education, working with at-risk youth in communities in Canada’s far north. An active volunteer, Meagan passionately supports organizations devoted to women’s advancement, gun control, anti-racism, and progressive public policy.
