
Tonderai is passionate about sustainable infrastructure development for sustained human capital development through solid project finance and investment, that allows communities to own their infrastructure and value systems. To this end, he is a proud proponent of SDGs. He is the founding CEO and Vision Lead of Kiyani Energy, a start up focusing on sustainable rural value chain re-imagination, with production systems anchored on renewable energy and solid human capital development founded in solid health and education. Tonderai’s idea to found Kiyani Energy was anchored on the power of syndication of diaspora investments through an idea he calls “The young expats pension fund.” Lately, Tonderai is studying towards a MA Leadership in Development Finance with the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.
He also holds a BEng. Hons Degree in Civil and Water Engineer from the National University of Science and Technology. He has solid experience in project development, project management and project development. He has shared his knowledge in sustainable development and sustainable finance in various forums including the inaugural SAIEE conference held last year at the Sandton Convention Center in Johannesburg, South Africa.
